Hike for Hospice: June 26, 2011
![]() |
On Sunday, June 26, 2011 the 6th annual Hike for Hospice was held at Olinger Mount Lindo to benefit Porter Hospice and St. Anthony Hospice. Hikers enjoyed beautiful views as they climbed to 7,600 feet to the top of Olinger Mount Lindo, home of the illuminated cross in Morrison, Colorado. Hikers also released doves in honor or memory of loved ones while overlooking downtown Denver and the foothills. Thank you to the many volunteers, hikers and sponsors for supporting our hospice programs and making this year such a success!
All funds raised at Hike for Hospice go towards supporting charity care and hospice services not reimbursed by the Medicare Hospice Benefit including spiritual care, bereavement services, volunteer coordination and palliative care for children through the Butterfly Program.
