Hikers honor a friend at Hike for Hospice

Help us spread the word about Hike for Hospice! Below is a sample email messages to copy, paste and send to friends and family. On June 27, 2010, I am participating in Hike for Hospice to help raise awareness and funds for Porter Hospice and St. Anthony Hospice and would like to ask for your support. For over twenty five years, Porter Hospice and St. Anthony Hospice have been offering pain and symptom management by addressing the physical, spiritual, social and emotional needs of patients and families facing the end-of-life journey. These two non-profit hospice programs provide more charity care than any other hospice program in the area—more than five times the state average.  Funds raised at Hike for Hospice support charity care and hospice services not reimbursed by the Medicare Hospice Benefit including spiritual care, bereavement services, volunteer coordination and palliative care for children in The Butterfly Program.
